Roots + Wings: A Creative Connection Playshop

This summer, Roots + Wings returns in a new form — outdoors, surrounded by nature, with more space to explore, connect, and create together.

Roots + Wings is a creative connection playshop for children and caregivers designed to support presence, expression, and shared experience. This summer session is inspired by the theme Expression in Nature — an invitation to slow down, tune in, and let creativity unfold through colour, texture, movement, and the natural world around us.

Together, we’ll move through a gentle, intuitive experience that includes:

• Guided meditation
• Gentle energy work
• Intuitive art using natural elements and mark-making tools
• Tarot insight
• Mini family portraits
• Time to connect, explore, and create together

This is a relaxed, inclusive space where children are free to participate in their own way. There is no pressure to create something a certain way. The focus is on expression, connection, and being present together.

This is the third Roots + Wings session, and each gathering has carried its own energy.

Our first rooted into connection and foundation. The second opened into renewal and new growth. This summer session moves into expression — the natural unfolding of what has already been growing.

Inspired by the season and the setting, Expression in Nature invites children and caregivers to explore creativity in a more open, sensory way. Using natural elements, intuitive mark-making, and the environment around us, we create from what we feel, what we notice, and what wants to come through.

This session is about movement, play, presence, and expression. It is an opportunity to follow curiosity, connect more deeply, and allow creativity to take shape in its own way.

While we often speak to parents and children, this space is open to all caregivers — grandparents, guardians, and chosen family.

This offering is designed to feel supportive, accessible, and welcoming to a range of ages, personalities, and needs. Whether your child is expressive and eager or more quiet and observant, they are welcome exactly as they are.
